SRK Honda ("we", "us", "our") is an authorised Honda two-wheeler dealership operating showrooms and service centres across Tirupur and Dindigul districts, Tamil Nadu, India, under authorisation from Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI). This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you use our website srkhonda.com, visit our showrooms, or interact with us through Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp).

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details — your name, phone number, email address, and address, when you submit an enquiry, book a service, register a complaint, apply for a job, or give feedback on our website or at a showroom.
  • Vehicle details — vehicle model, registration number, chassis/frame details, and service history, needed to sell, register, service, or insure your vehicle.
  • Purchase and service records — bookings, invoices, payments, warranty and insurance records connected to your dealings with us.
  • Messages — the content of enquiries, complaints, feedback, and WhatsApp or social media messages you send us.
  • Technical data — basic technical information (such as IP address and browser type) collected automatically when you visit our website, used for security and to keep the site working.

3. Information from Meta platforms

We use Meta products (Facebook Pages, Instagram, and the WhatsApp Business Platform) to publish updates about our dealership, respond to comments and messages, and send you service-related notifications on WhatsApp (for example booking confirmations, service status updates, and delivery reminders) where you have shared your number with us.

When you interact with our pages or message us on these platforms, we receive the information you choose to share — such as your public profile name and the content of your message. We use this information only to respond to you and to manage our own pages. We handle any data received from Meta in accordance with the Meta Platform Terms and applicable Developer Policies. We do not sell Meta platform data, use it for surveillance, or share it with data brokers.

4. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries, bookings, complaints, and job applications.
  • To sell, register, deliver, service, and insure your vehicle, and to honour warranties.
  • To send you service reminders, booking updates, and delivery notifications by SMS or WhatsApp.
  • To collect feedback and improve our sales and after-sales service.
  • To meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations that apply to a vehicle dealership in India.

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Honda (HMSI) — for vehicle registration, warranty, recall, and manufacturer programmes.
  • Government authorities — such as the RTO for vehicle registration, or where the law requires disclosure.
  • Insurance and finance partners — when you ask us to arrange insurance or financing for your vehicle.
  • Service providers — such as messaging providers used to deliver SMS/WhatsApp notifications, who may process data only on our instructions.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal record-keeping requirements applicable to vehicle sales and service in India. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Data security

Your information is stored on access-controlled systems. Access is restricted to authorised dealership staff who need it to serve you, and our systems maintain audit trails of changes to customer records.

8. Your rights and data deletion

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To make a request — including deletion of any data we received through Meta platforms — contact us at srkhondatn@gmail.com with your name and registered phone number. We will verify your identity and respond within a reasonable time. Some records (for example invoices) may need to be retained where the law requires it; we will tell you if that is the case.

Our website uses only essential cookies needed for the site to function (such as session and security cookies). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

10. Children

Our services are intended for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
